Here at Medxcel, our common purpose dictates what the customer experience should be at an emotional level.  Part of delivering excellent service is understanding when to be off-task because it is necessary to be on purpose.  As a company, we empower our associates to use both task and purpose to support life’s moments by enabling safe and healthy environments for our community.  Associates who embody our common purpose are celebrated monthly with an award called Medxcel Moments.

Our incredible team has been working on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic for the past year, making significant modifications to the way they do their jobs while keeping safety at the forefront.  This “new normal” provided a platform for innovative achievements to take shape.

IMG_1430-(1).jpgThis month we want to recognize our dedicated associates: Matt Powers, Maintenance Mechanic II, Mike Wobbe, Facility Manager and Carl Mohl, Safety Officer.  This team worked with local nursing and infection control staff to design and build a visitor booth in a long-term care facility that Medxcel serves.

Thousands of families across the nation have loved ones in nursing homes or long-term care facilities.  These families have been severely impacted by the restrictions put in place due to COVID-19.  For most, this meant discontinuing regular visitations with the ones they hold most dear.  Creative solutions were desperately needed to ensure these vital connections were still being made.  This ingenious and thoughtful addition provided visitors and family the rare ability to have face-to-face conversations with their loved ones who were patients of the facility this past holiday season.

This project would not have been possible without these extraordinary associates and their desire to go above and beyond to connect family members. By showcasing compassion and courageous innovation, the team was able to come up with a unique solution to serve their local community.

Please join us in congratulating Matt, Mike and Carl. We are so proud of their work, and we are excited to see how this COVID-19 safe environment will continue to allow residents to visit with friends and family during the year. Thank you to all our associates for your dedication to living out our common purpose.
