Exciting news to share at Medxcel! We have announced a new standalone Consulting service in addition to our current service offerings (previously, Consulting was only available within a standard service contract). This expansion will provide organizational leaders and facility managers with a 360-degree view of their organization’s current state to better handle compliance regulations, ligature risks, life safety drawings, and mechanical, electrical and plumbing concerns.

Compliance.jpgThis independent service will utilize Medxcel’s predictive database of survey trends across its facilities nationwide in order to identify areas of focus for The Joint Commission and other regulatory bodies. This allows teams to mitigate risks and decrease deficiencies prior to the healthcare facility’s next regulatory survey.

Consulting services that Medxcel can provide include:
  • Facility Condition Assessment (FCA): Medxcel will review the mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) systems and components of a facility to ultimately generate a facility capital infrastructure plan. Medxcel will utilize its MEP and healthcare facility management experts to perform an assessment of facilities and provide a detailed list of findings.
  • Life Safety Assessment (LSA): The Medxcel Life Safety team has decades of experience and success in ensuring that all areas of concern for Life Safety are identified and corrective measures are in place. The team will conduct an LSA based on the 2012 edition of the Life Safety Code.
  • Ligature Risk Assessment (LRA): The LRA reduces the ligature risk for areas of the facility where at-risk patients could cause harm to themselves or to others by documenting and addressing all potential points of ligature.
  • Physical Environment Review (PER): The PER will analyze a hospital’s level of compliance in meeting The Joint Commission’s Physical Environment survey process or any other accreditation organizations’ survey processes.

This past year has been a challenge for healthcare facilities across the country with the impact of COVID-19. Now, any and all healthcare facilities can experience Medxcel Consulting.
